Have questions about building permit requirements for metal structures? THE BOSS is here to educate you on everything you need to know! Building permits are indeed required in some locations, but not in all cases or situations. How do you know what you’ll need to do? We’re here to help!
Possibly. A number of areas do require a building permit for the installation of a metal structure. How can you find out whether you’ll need a permit or not? Your best bet is to start by checking with your local building inspector’s office in your municipality or county to learn which regulations will apply to your custom metal building.
The good news is that several areas still don’t require building permits for structures of this nature, but you do need to find that out ahead of time. It’s always best to check with your local government to see if a permit or a certificate of zoning plan approval is necessary before moving forward with your building project. If you do need approval, it’s your responsibility to have that in hand before we can perform your installation. After you place your building order with us, we’ll confirm with you to ensure that we don’t schedule your delivery date until after you’ve received your permit.
You may; that really depends upon the regulations that apply in your area. Local building permit regulations aside, site plans are a requirement if you want a certified building. And whether a site plan is required for your particular building or install location, it’s still a good idea to draw one up when you’re planning and deciding where you want to put your steel structure on your property. We’re happy to provide some generic site plans to help get you started. Just let us know what questions you may have!
Boss Buildings is happy to deliver and install your building at no additional cost, but you’ll want to ensure you’ve gotten everything ready on your end ahead of time. As mentioned above, it’s your responsibility to secure any building permits that may be needed. But what about your building installation site itself? There are just a few things you need to take care of before we arrive with your building. You’ll want to make sure your site is level, is cleared of debris, and provides easily access for our installation crew. If you have any other specific site preparation questions, we’ll be happy to help answer those, too!
Why choose THE BOSS? Because we’ve got better buildings and better prices, and we can get you your building fast! Our goal at Boss Buildings is really pretty simple: we’re here to get you the quality metal building you need. And we can help you get answers to your building permit questions, too.
